McArthur-Burney Falls -California Photos

McArthur-Burney Falls -California Photos

In Northern California, near Lassen Volcanic Ntional Park, there is a great falls Teodore Roosevelt called "8th wonder of the world".

It flows truly abundant, 200 Million Gallon of water daily.
Because of porous volcanic basalt rock formation, some water came out from underground river bed, pouring from the middle of waterfalls' wall.

It is nice with woody surrounding and neaby lake (Lake Britton).
It is fascinating to watch water falling down to the river.

We stayed at the place between Lssen Volcano and Burney Falls.
In the morning, we visited Falls first, and then gone South to visit Lassen.
When we visited Lassen in 1972, we could stay in manzanita Lodge within Lassen Park.
 But no lodge any more.
I thought it was because of Mount Saint Helen's volcanic eruption.
Anyway, we have to find lodge outside of Park.

It was nice trip.
