SFV Bonsai Club 月例会 ２０２２年１月２３日 日曜日 実行 報告
Because of COVID-19, Bonsai Club activities were cancelled almost 2 years.
Now finally we had meeting at our president's backyard in Thousand Oaks.
It was beautiful day. We worried about Rain and strong Wind, but this day, it was gorgeous, beautiful day.
Members gathered were total 14 plus other guests.
Starting this year, we charge $75.00 membership fee per year.
I was busy as treasurer and recording staff, taking pictures of members activities and collecting membership fees.
My new Camera's lowest memory is about 4MB, so naturally I could not attach many photos in my e-mail message, but it looks OK to attach in this Blog. I am happy to know that.
Actually on this first meeting, I did not work on my Bonsai I brought in. Master and other teachers took care of my Bonsai. I just watered Bonsai pots everyday, but I did not trim any. When we have Bonsai Show at Obon Festival this year around end of June, I may have a chance to sell. But in this fearful Corona, Delta, Omicron situations, we are not sure there would be Obon Festival and Bonsai Show. I just hope we could have Bonsai Show.
We welcomed new young member joined this day. Maybe more new people would join since this new meeting place is located in Thousand Oaks,
Next meeting will be 4th Sunday in February 27.

SFV Bonsai Clubの１月例会が２０２２年１月２３日、第４日曜日に Thousand Oaksにある盆栽クラブ会長宅のBackyardで開かれました。ほとんど２年ぶりの会合で、New Member一人を含めてActive Member１４名が集まり、ほかにゲストも含めて、明るく賑やかな会合となりました。この２－３日、すごい風が吹いたので、そして雨の心配もありましたが、本当にきれいな日で、楽しい会合となりました。
今年から年会費を７５ドルにUpしましたが、皆さん気持ちよく払ってくださったので、会計担当の私はその整理・対応で忙しく、持ち込んだBonsaiはマスターやほかの先生方に面倒見ていただきました。私はあまり盆栽技術の向上がなく、もっぱらこの明るく楽しい会合を楽しむために参加しているようなもので、私の精神衛生上、素晴らしい効果があるのは自分でもわかるほどです。
新しいメンバーも入って、この調子なら健全な会合を保てるだろうと、この１年の会合を楽しみにしています。
２月には盆栽に不可欠なWireを購入するつもりで、何人かとCar Poolで、遠いVictorville近くの裏山にあるBonsai Storeに出掛ける予定です。
次回会合は２月の第４日曜日、２７日です。
