Rio Grande - Photos (3)

Rio Grande - Photos (3)

Rio Grande near Big Bend National Park and within National Park.

Rio Grande means Big River.
If we say Rio Grande River, it is erroneous expression.

There were movies named Rio Grande and Rio Bravo by Joh Wayne.
I think they had nothing to do with real Rio Grande.

Rio Grande was called Rio Bravo in Mexico.

Still my PC keyboard does not work well.
I have to write in English until it would be fixed somehow in the meantime, otherwise I have to write only in English.

Yesterday, I prepared Rio Grande photos for 3 parts.
All in English.

Please be patient. When Keyboard workswithout trouble, I will rewrite some information on Rio Grande.

I don't know what happened to my computer.
I just dusted. Maybe I pushed wrong keys.

Today my computer Keyboard behaves funny way.
I cannot use Japanese entry. When I type as Shashin on input mode, it came out in strange Hiragana -not as shashin, but as tokuchi etc....
It is very funny.
Maybe something is wrong with computer or some psychic incident since I am writing on psychic matter recently, it could be some manifestation or nothing but computer break.

I will convert to Japanese when keyboard works normally.
Today it behaves strangely. 03/30/2012

Rio Grande at length, it is No.2 in contiguous USA.
It has almost 1900 miles in length (over 3000KM), although unlike Mississippi or Columbia river, this Rio Grande is not good for big ship navigation.
Only good for rafting at some places.

But think of 3000KM(1900 Miles). It could be lenght of Japan vertically crossed.

This river makes international border at Texas, which extend over 1000KM from near El Paso through Big Bend national Park to Corpus Christi.
River has a few Dams, largest is Elephant Butte in New Mexico.
River water used at various sections, at El Paso, it is minimum.

At Bosque del Apache, Rio Grande is wide and water volume vary in seasons.
One time I saw water on full width of the river and another time it was less than half and then only about a few meter width.

I intend to offer some photos of Rio Grande in (1) (2)& (3).
I visited almost source of Rio Grande at Colorado, Rio Grande National Forest and some how up to Big Bend national park.
I wanted to visit Corpus Christi at Gulf. But I never had chance to visit Corpus Christi.

(1) Photos show Rio Grande at near reservoir and gold trout river.
Then there is a Rio Grande Gorge, which is actually Rio Grande Rift-two different plate divided at Gorge. River run through Rift to Big Bend.
Photos of Rio Grande at Bandelier,.
(2) from Albuquerque, Bosque del Apache, Elephant Butte Lake, Dam and Lordsburg Dam, near las Cruces, going to El Paso.

(3) will show nice photos of Rio Grande at Big Bend national park or neighbor.

Tomorrow I will try Japanese again.
