When I visited Death Valley, it was always in Winter near Xmas season.
It was comfortable at temperature around 70 degree F.
I always thought that to taste true Death Valley we should visit in Summer around July, August with temperature average over 120 F etc...Otherwise we think it is very nice place and wonder how woman cried "Death Valley" in 1849.
There are many interesting places to visit. Famous "Scotty's Castle" is not in the National Park territory. It is out side or edge of the Park.
Now hungry coyote roams the parking lot without chasing squirrel wonderling visibly.
It is vast empty space and lowest point (bad water 282 feet below sea level) and over 11,000 feet mountains (Telescope Peak) within National Park.
