   We had successful May Bonsai Club meeting at Thousand Oaks, President's backyard.

　Members who could not attend were only 4. Right now our paid members count 19. So, 15 members attended and guardian, some guest, with total 18.

I believe everybody enjoyed this meeting. Weather was fine and beautiful.

　I saw Morning glory at the entrance to backyard. It was beautiful purple color. I have special memory with morning glory, so I was happy seeing this beautiful flower blossomming.

　As usual I just brought small　Bonsai pots and actually great teachers took care of my Bonsai. I was busy taking pictures and taking care of Hollyhock pots just like last month. I prepared Hollyhock from seeding to sprouting、 to give members.

　Mrs. President was sad when squirrels or some other creatures enjoyed eating sprouts. And it was good timing to me that Sunday morning, before leaving house I thought of presenting Flowering Hollyhock to Mrs. President. I was right. she was happy to have Hollyhock pot with 2 flowers on pot.

　Some members arrived late, but before luncheon/snack time began.

So, everybody enjoyed delicious foods, nice snacks and various talk with each other.

It started 9 AM and ended at 1:30 PM.

Next month meeting will be June 26, 4th Sunday.

　５月の盆栽クラブの会合は２２日の第４日曜日、いつものThousand Oaksにある会長宅で９時から開催され、１時半ごろまで、にぎやかで健康的な会合を楽しみました。

　このThousand Oaksの会場までのドライブも自然の中をドライブするような快適なドライブで私は先生とのドライブを楽しみました。

　私は例によって、自分では盆栽の面倒を見ず、先生方に任せて、写真班、記録係、としてそれなりに忙しく、また先月同様、Hollyhock,タチアオイの苗をDaisoなどで仕入れたPotsに移し替えたりしていました。

　この日の朝、私は花の咲いたHollyhock,タチアオイを会長夫人に差し上げようとPotごと持ち込みましたが、ちょうど、先月のHollyhock,タチアオイの苗をリスか何かに食べられて、がっかりしておられるところだったので、ことのほか喜ばれました。

　ランチャン、スナックタイムになる前に新しいメンバーがBrotherを連れて現れ、うれしく思いました。本日は欠席者４名で、それでも１８人近くのランチャンとなり、世話するほうは大変であったと思います。会長ならびにミセスそしてお嬢さん、いつものことながらありがとうございました。

　皆さん、盆栽をまなぶだけでなく、メンバーとの親しい会話のチャンスで、楽しまれたことと思います。

　写真をMailに添付すると一枚が３MBほどの大きさで、６枚ほどでエラーになるとわかったので、添付は５枚が限度と思っていましたが、ブログをWord fileにコピーすると２０枚ほどの写真が５MBほどのサイズに収まるのがわかり、ブログにたくさん写真をつけ、それをWord fileにコピーしてメンバーの皆さんにe-mailすることにしました。

来月は６月２６日　第４日曜日です。またお会いするのが楽しみです。
