I love blue water and green forest in addition to blue sky and white cloud.
We used to travel big California loop with dog together.
From Los Angeles, going up to San Francisco, Petaluma driving Highway 101, 1 through Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Big Sur, Monterey, Salinas, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Petaluma. After enjoying Point Reyes National Seashore, we dropped at Sonoma, Napa Valley, then visited Old Sacramento. Then to Lake Tahoe. From Lake Tahoe, driving route 395 down south to Mojave dropping at Mono Lake, Yosemite National Park, Mammoth Lakes, June Lakes, Bishop, Lone Pine to Lancaster, Palmdale. This was one of the best vacation route from sea level to over 3000 meter Tioga Pass at Yosemite National Park.
Lake Tahoe was always one of the focus point with blue water and beautiful forest.
We had beautiful dog named Duchess - Bearded Collie and so we visited Lake Tahoe several times, but I did not have a chance to ride on Lake Cruise. My wife did not like our dog left in the rental lodge and Cruise ship did not allow dog on board.
This is beautiful nature - gorgeous with clean big lake in the open sky.
Next time, definitely I will take Emerald Bay Cruise.
